Your bridge or extra rope goes into the hook and keeps it from getting in the way. Use 1 or 2 buddies on your saddle belt, or molle loops to hold up your bridge. Also can be used to keep extra rope out of the way on your gear strap. The loops will work with 8mm-11mm size ropes.
