X -Hopper

The X-Hopper is a highly effective hopper attractor pattern often compared to the popular PMX. While it shares many of the same fish-catching characteristics, the X-Hopper features its own distinct profile and design, making it a proven producer during hopper season and throughout the summer months. A highly effective and versatile terrestrial pattern, the PMX Hopper is designed to imitate grasshoppers and other large insects that trout rely on throughout the summer. Featuring a buoyant body with rubber legs and a parachute post, this fly offers excellent floatation and visibility on the water.

Ideal for fishing along grassy banks, meadows, and structure, the PMX Hopper performs well in a variety of conditions. It can be fished with a natural drift or lightly twitched to imitate a struggling insect, making it a strong choice for both surface presentations and dry-dropper setups.
