Stone Creek™ PT Nymph – Bead Head & Standard

The Stone Creek™ PT Nymph is one of the most effective and widely used trout flies ever created. Short for Pheasant Tail Nymph, this legendary pattern imitates a wide variety of aquatic insects including mayfly nymphs, caddis larvae, and other subsurface food sources that trout feed on year-round.

Available in both Standard and Bead Head styles, the PT Nymph gives anglers the flexibility to match changing water conditions and depths. The Standard version provides a natural drift in shallow water and slower currents, while the Bead Head version quickly reaches deeper feeding zones and adds a subtle flash that often triggers additional strikes.

Its slim, natural profile closely resembles countless aquatic insects, making it an essential fly for rivers, streams, tailwaters, lakes, and ponds. Few patterns have earned a reputation as dependable as the PT Nymph.
