Gehrke’s Gink® Fly Floatant

For over 40 years, Gehrke’s Gink® has been one of the most trusted and recognizable dry fly floatants in fly fishing. Originally developed as one of the first commercially available safe dry fly dressings, Gink® is designed to keep flies floating naturally and effectively through repeated drifts.

This liquid emulsifier penetrates deeply into natural materials like fur and feather while coating synthetic materials for long-lasting floatation. When it contacts cold water, it transforms into a clear, invisible gel that helps prevent flies from becoming waterlogged.

Its lightweight formula features a specific gravity lighter than water, making it highly effective for dry flies, attractors, and even streaking streamer patterns.
