FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 6800PD and 6800PT?

6800PD is the dual-fuel version and runs on gasoline or propane. 6800PT is the tri-fuel version and adds natural gas capability. Both models support 120V / 240V output, electric start, remote start, and 5000W rated running output.

Is the ERAYAK 6800PT a tri-fuel inverter generator with 240V output?

Yes. The ERAYAK 6800PT is the tri-fuel model and supports gasoline, propane, and natural gas. It also supports 120V / 240V output for RV use and selected home backup applications with proper connection equipment.

Which model should I choose for home backup?

Choose 6800PT if natural gas capability is important for your home backup plan. Choose 6800PD if your main use case is RV power, camping, job-site use, or portable backup with gasoline and propane.

Does the ERAYAK 6800PD/PT have a 50A receptacle?

No. The ERAYAK 6800PD/PT does not have a built-in 50A receptacle. The generator has a 30A 120V/240V L14-30R outlet, a 30A 120V L5-30R locking outlet, dual 120V household outlets, and an included TT-30R RV adapter accessory.

What 30A outlets are on the generator?

The 6800PD/PT has two different 30A outlets on the generator: one 30A 120V/240V L14-30R outlet and one 30A 120V L5-30R locking outlet. The TT-30R RV adapter is included as an accessory; it is not a built-in outlet on the generator body.

Can I connect a 30A RV with a TT-30 plug?

Yes, when your RV setup is compatible and your total load is within the generator’s rated output. Use the included TT-30R RV adapter with the generator’s 30A L5-30R outlet for compatible 30A RV connection needs.

Do both models have 120V / 240V output?

Yes. Both the 6800PD and 6800PT support 120V / 240V dual voltage, giving you more connection flexibility for selected home backup applications. Use the correct cord, inlet, transfer equipment, and professional installation where required.

Can a 6800W inverter generator run a well pump?

It may support selected 240V well pump setups, but you must check the pump’s starting watts, running watts, voltage requirement, wiring method, transfer equipment, and local code requirements first. For well pumps and home backup circuits, professional installation is recommended.

What is the fuel consumption rate?

Fuel consumption depends on connected load, fuel type, Eco Mode use, altitude, temperature, and operating conditions. For the most accurate runtime planning, calculate the total running watts and starting watts of the devices you want to power.

Is the natural gas hose included?

The natural gas hose is included with the 6800PT model only. The 6800PD model includes a propane LPG hose but does not include a natural gas hose.

Can I connect it directly to my home?

Do not backfeed power directly into a home outlet. For home backup, use a properly installed transfer switch or interlock kit. Electrical and natural gas connections should be handled by qualified professionals and must follow local codes.

Can this power sensitive electronics?

Yes. The 6800 Series uses inverter technology and low-THD output to provide clean, stable power for sensitive electronics such as laptops, routers, CPAP machines, and smart appliances.

What are the dimensions and weight of the ERAYAK 6800PD/PT?

The ERAYAK 6800PD/PT measures 23.8 × 16.7 × 21.5 inches and weighs 90.4 lb. This gives the 6800 Series a portable wheeled form factor while still providing 6800W peak / 5000W rated inverter output.

Is professional installation needed for home backup?

For home backup through a transfer switch, interlock kit, or natural gas supply, professional installation is recommended. Always follow local electrical, gas, and safety codes.
