Parachute Damselfly

The Parachute Damselfly is a highly effective stillwater dry fly pattern designed to imitate adult damselflies commonly found around lakes, ponds, and slow-moving backwaters. Featuring a realistic profile and highly visible parachute post, this pattern rides low in the surface film while remaining easy for anglers to track.

Damselflies are a major food source for trout in calm water environments, especially during warm-weather months when adults are active near shorelines, reeds, lily pads, and overhanging vegetation. The Parachute Damselfly excels in low-wind conditions where trout are feeding selectively on the surface.

Whether fished tight to banks or around weed beds and structure, this fly is a proven producer for stillwater trout.
